  1. Hi, I was wondering if you took donations of new or gently used stuffed animals for the children. Thank you

    1. Thank you, Taylor! We cannot accept used stuffed animals due to cleanliness and safety issues. Right now we are well-stocked for stuffed animals for the number of children we currently serve (about three a day). But you may take your NEW stuffed animals to the Union Gospel Mission Distribution Center in Kent, 8226 South 208th Street, Kent, WA 98032. Hours are Monday—Saturday, 8:30am—4:30pm. Toys, household goods and clothing that are donated there, are made available to KentHOPE guests when they are needed, as well as the women and children in UGM’s transitional housing programs in Kent and South Seattle. Your will receive a receipt for your donations. Thanks for thinking of our homeless neighbors!

  2. Hello
I currently am crocheting comfort scarves for domestic violence housing for wormen in California. Since I live in Renton WA I would like to donate my comfort scarves to give to local shelters. Would you be interested in taking scarves to give to the women who come there?
Let me know if you are interested.
    Blessings
    Lee Miller

  11. Hello. I was wondering if your center would take luggages? I have 2 carry on luggages that have never been used. And 2 others that are in used condition. I also have some clothing, make-up, and some unexpired food items as well. Please let me know if you are still taking these items at this time.
I have past by your Day Center a couple of times and could not find a safe place to park/exit onto the busy street.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon 🙂

    1. Thank you. Yes, we LOVE luggage and can also use the other items you mentioned. For an easier place to park, drive downhill to the West, take the first right after the Day Center, circle right around the block and park in the parking lot for the apartments. You can walk through the apartment building and down steps to the back of the Day Center.
