Learn practical ways to provide care to our homeless neighbors through the new KentHOPE Center. The homeless in Kent will soon have “a place to go” to find safe shelter, a warm meal and other basic emergency services.  The homeless in Kent will also have a pathway “to grow” by engaging in case management, legal services, job/housing search and addiction recovery.  The community of Kent will have a centralized “place to give”.  Whether you are part of a current homeless outreach or new to this work, you will gain practical advice on building relationships, maintaining healthy boundaries, the power of accountability, moving the homeless from systems dependence to systems independence and rule setting.  Contact [email protected] to register.
This workshop is a follow-up to the July 13th and Aug. 10th Volunteer Trainings and is for anyone who wants to volunteer at the KentHOPE Center, even if you did not attend a Volunteer Training this summer.
